🐟 Red-Tail Tinfoil Barb Barbonymus altus

The Red-Tail Tinfoil Barb (Barbonymus altus) is a moderate-care, semi-aggressive species from Southeast Asia. Adults reach roughly 13", so plan on a minimum tank of 125 gallons. Keep the water between 72–77°F with a pH of 6.5–7. This is a schooling fish — keep a group of at least 5 so it feels secure and colors up. As an omnivore, it does best on a varied diet appropriate to its feeding style.
