🐡 Bolivian Ram Mikrogeophagus altispinosus


The Bolivian Ram (Mikrogeophagus altispinosus) is a moderate-care, peaceful species from Amazon basin, Bolivia and Brazil. Adults reach roughly 3", so plan on a minimum tank of 20 gallons. Keep the water between 72–79°F with a pH of 6–7.5. It does not school and can be kept singly or in species-appropriate numbers. As an omnivore, it does best on a varied diet appropriate to its feeding style.
