The High-Fin Platy (Xiphophorus maculatus) is a easy-care, peaceful species from Captive-bred. Adults reach roughly 2.5", so plan on a minimum tank of 10 gallons. Keep the water between 70–80°F with a pH of 7–8.2. This is a schooling fish — keep a group of at least 3 so it feels secure and colors up. Its long fins make it a target for known fin-nippers.
